Teachers understand the legislated, moral and ethical framework within which they work. |
The ATA has outlined a professional Code of Conduct which includes a list of standards that teachers need to follow in relation to pupils, school authorities, colleagues, and to the teaching profession. I understand that as a teacher, I need to strictly follow these rules to show my professionalism.

Teachers engage in assessing the quality of their teaching. |
Before each practicum, I setted up three goals for myself to accomplish throughout my teaching practicies. By setting these goals, I am able to have a clear focus as to what I am working towards. Throughout my practicum, I would often look at these goals to remind myself; as well as assessing what I have done, how much I need to improve, and what I still need to work on. I believe that goal setting is essential for learning. Therefore, I will make sure to continue set up goals throughout my entire teaching career.

Teachers are able to communicate a personal vision of their own teaching. |
My personal vision of teaching is shown in my statement teaching philpsophy. I believe students deserve to learn in a secure, caring, and stimulating environment to help them grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. This kind of environment can be created through the teacher's proper guidance to allow students to express and share their thoughts through their natural curiosity.
